Each Katherine Louise game board is as unique and
special as the individual who owns one. The patterns in these tooled leather
game boards are sculpted using hand-held leather carving tools rather than
machine-stamped. The finish has a slightly “distressed” look to
it, as each piece of leather was chosen for it's character, and finished
to bring out its individual characteristics. Variations in color and texture
from one game board to another are normal and add to the beauty and uniqueness
of each piece. The leather is treated with a finish that protects it from
scratches, moisture, and the environment. Each board is framed in oak, and
the bottoms are lined with felt to protect table surfaces.

Alamo Chess/Checkers
Board
The border design features ornate,
yet sparing tooling patterns, with
a scalloped band along the sides. Available in Ruby or Turquoise.
The squares are brown and natural with the ruby border, and
black and natural with the turquoise border. This style is compatible
with any style of chessmen, and works very well with a theme
with southwestern or Spanish influence.

Celtic Chess/Checkers
Board
The corners are adorned with a Celtic-style
continuous knot pattern, with
a fine basketweave filler along the sides. The squares are green
or red (oxblood) and natural. The style of this board is great
for traditional Staunton-style Chessmen or any style pieces,
and looks especially good with medieval and rennaissance styles.

Oak Leaf Chess/Checkers
Board
The border has a traditional oak leaf
pattern tooled in the corners, with a medium-sized diagonal
basketweave filler along the sides. The autumn color scheme
has brown and tan squares with leaves of golden yellow and shades
of orange and red; the summer color scheme has squares that
are dark green and tan with leaves of yellow-green and shades
of deep green. The style of this board is suitable for traditional
Staunton-style Chessmen or any style pieces, and is especially
well suited for a western theme and/or decor.

Chess Board
This is a more affordable tournament-style
chess board designed for Chess clubs. Now available in 4 high-contrast
colors! The board is only available in 18" (2-1/4"
squares) and has algebraic notation that is easily visible from
both sides. The leather frame is more rugged than a wood frame,
and will stand up to heavy use. The style of this board is especially
suitable for traditional Staunton-style Chessmen.

Travelling Checkers Game
Take your game anywhere with this easy-to-pack,
easy-to-play anywhere Checkers game. Measures 11-3/8"x11-3/8";
has a hand-tooled leather playing surface that is mounted on
solid oak; comes complete with wooden game pieces: 28 regular
pieces (2 extra of each color), and 8 designated kings. The
squares are black and red, the border is shades of red on a
natural leather-colored background.
